Twenty-Five Years.One Mother's Conviction.One Specialization.

Founded in May 2001 in Ningbo, China by Ms. Shen Yufang — a textile worker who refused to accept that webbing for children's products could be anything less than perfect.

From three looms to forty — one continuous standard.

Four moments shape who we are. Each was a turning point. None of them shifted the standard our founder set on day one.

2001

A Problem That Could Not Be Ignored

In 2001, Ms. Shen Yufang was a textile worker in Ningbo with no business background, no investors, and no formal training in webbing manufacturing. She was, however, the mother of a one-year-old son.

While shopping for a baby stroller, she made a discovery that would change the course of her life: in the entire Chinese market at that time, she could not find a single juvenile harness webbing built to a standard comparable to automotive seat belts.

The realization unsettled her. A harness is not an accessory — it is the single component that stands between a child and harm. Substandard webbing was not a quality issue. It was a question of family safety.

In May 2001, with three looms in a small workshop on the outskirts of Ningbo's Yinzhou District, she founded our company with one purpose: to manufacture juvenile webbing that no parent would ever need to question.

2002 — 2003

The First Two Years Were Hard. We Do Not Hide That.

Founding a manufacturing business with three looms and no industry connections was not a quick path to quality. The first year brought equipment problems, material inconsistency, and products that did not meet the standard our founder had set for herself.

Rather than scale back her ambitions, she did the opposite. She studied weaving technology daily. She traveled to source the right raw materials. She hired senior technical experts from the wider industry to consult on production.

By late 2002, the technical problems were resolved. Since 2003, every meter of juvenile webbing we have shipped has been free of quality incidents — a record we have maintained, without exception, for twenty-two consecutive years.

2011

2011 — The Workshop Becomes a Company

By 2011, what began as a three-loom workshop had grown to over twenty looms. The operation had outgrown its original structure. To support continued growth and meet the standards expected by an increasingly international customer base, the business was formally re-incorporated as Ningbo Yinzhou Hemao Belt Co., Ltd.

The legal entity changed. The location, the founder, the standards, and the focus did not.

2024

A New Generation, A Continuing Standard

In January 2024, our founder's son Mason Chen returned to the company after completing his Economics degree at the University of Toronto and several years of professional work in Shanghai.

He did not arrive with a plan to change the business. He arrived to learn it.

Today, Mason leads day-to-day operations, international development, and direct technical communication with customers. The standards established by our founder remain unchanged — and remain non-negotiable.

My mother built this company on a single belief: that the webbing inside a child's stroller deserves the same engineering discipline as the seatbelt in a car. Twenty-five years later, my responsibility is simple — to honor that belief in every meter we produce.

Twenty-five years, in numbers we will not embellish.

  • 25 years

Of dedicated focus on juvenile webbing

  • Zero

    Quality incidents since 2003

  • 40 looms

All dedicated to juvenile and high-performance webbing

  • 90%

Of capacity dedicated to juvenile applications

  • Solution-Dyed

The only coloring process we use for polyester

    Two generations, one standard

Section 07 · Specialization

Specialization Is a Choice We Make Every Day

Over the past twenty-five years, we have grown into a team of forty looms in Ningbo. We are not the largest webbing manufacturer in China. By choice, we have remained focused on what we do best.

What we do not do:

  • We do not manufacture general industrial or fashion webbing as a primary business.
  • We do not subcontract our weaving to outside facilities.
  • We do not use piece-dyeing processes that introduce dye-lot variation in our colored polyester webbing.
  • We do not staff projects with intermediaries between our customers and our technical team.

Larger webbing manufacturers serve dozens of industries. Juvenile webbing is, for them, a small fraction of total volume — often handled by a procurement coordinator routing technical questions through three or four people before reaching the loom floor.

For us, juvenile webbing is the entire business.

When a designer at a juvenile brand needs to discuss a custom specification, the response does not travel through a chain of departments. The owner answers. The standards have not changed in twenty-five years, and neither has our commitment to direct, expert communication.

What Has Not Changed in 25 Years

The mother who founded this company believed children's safety was non-negotiable.

Today, with her son at the helm and forty looms running in the same district where it all began, that belief is still the only standard we know.
